Bio'Round Gomorra - Doomtown, some call it - they'll tell you I'm dead, and they won't be wrong. Got myself gunned down, didn't even realize it until I was in Nate's - Sheriff Hunter's - arms and saw the look on his face. There wasn't time for pain nor regrets, just a few last words.
Anywhere else, that likely would have been the end of my story. But Doomtown ain't like anywhere else, and Boot Hill's as like to be a temporary resting spot as not.
Now, there's things worse than dyin', and there's things more damn fool than getting in the way of a bullet. I reckon telling the man you just done the latter for that you love him counts to both, so I never did come clean. I kept hidden, and if the Law Dogs sometimes had a little extra luck - almost like another gun on their side - well, they knew the ways of Gomorra too well to question luck that ran their way.
But these days, there's things moving in the dark that frighten even a Terror like me. Storm's comin', and not wind and rain, neither. The Law Dogs will be needin' all the help they can get.
A girl needs to know where her loyalties lie.
